After much delay from Gary's useless brother (me)..
Well what can I say? It's been a long time, I've got loads of excuses but at the end of the day I am lazy git. also at the start of the day - sorry. Anyway, we're back and we've got two fantastic contributions. Zeptepi have delivered up a moody, stringy In betweens with a twang from the southern hemisphere. I'm amazed by the lovely violin note for note take on JP's guitar part that we all know and love. The Larch have done a lovely quirky version of Lovers of Today that really takes us by surprise. It's ska, and wobbly guitar, and we could be in a club a very long time ago. It just works
Thanks very much to both bands for their tremendous contributions and their patience.

We've had some info from the promoters about the upcoming tour . Full details are here. The band will play Rennes, Bordeaux, Marseille,Clermont Ferrand and
Paris ... and Liege in Belgium.
In France this month The Only Ones played a 30mins live session which was featured on the TV staion Canal Plus on their "Album of the week" spot. You can download the whole video .avi file here. It's about 165Mb so be patient.
There's also a .iso dvd image here if you want to burn a real dvd and watch it on a bigger screen, but be warned, it's 660Mb!
I had a nice mail today from Dan at http://perrettlyrics.blogspot.com . He's put together a very nice collection of lyrics, gig listings etc on his site. It looks very complete and nicely done. Have a look.
Here in sunny france this week has been very special. Canal Plus, a french TV channel has had the The Only Ones on every night on their "album of the week spot". It's been about 5mins each evening, i.e. a different song each night from a live session the band recorded a few weeks back here in france. It's been fantastic! There's also been a few little snippets of chat with the band.

Nick Marsh + The Auto Dropouts have just sent us this terrific version of The Beast and it's
here on the jukebox. Have a listen, it's mean and menacing as it should
be but at the same time it really sparkles, I love it. Right from the
intro the atmosphere builds, the drum sound is wonderful, the snare is
to die for, the whole song becomes serious as the vocals thicken with
harmony in just the right places and the guitars grow from the acoustic
intro riff through reverbed slide and growling envelope-filtered
tremelo til they wail out over almost sitar like sting. Crikey, I'll
have to calm down a bit!

Stomp Shout! have recorded their version of Oh No! and it's here online. It's trashy, it's twangy, it's punchy, it's different, it's, well.. have listen, it reminds me of Jilted John!
Well done boys, and sorry for the delay on putting it on the site.
Yes, Chris Caçavas has done a great new version of From Here to Eternity and it's right here in the music player. Thanks Chris! If you don't see the new song in the player you may need to clear your browser cache or restart the browser.
